What is cross org approval?
This is an approval flow for companies with multi-entity setup. With this setup, an employee of Entity 1 can approve reports of employees in Entity 2, Entity 3 and so on depending on number of entities of the said org.

There can be two scenarios in a multi-org setup. Let's take a look with examples.

Example: There are 3 entities in an org. Gamma Ltd., Gamma Asia and Gamma Europe. Gamma Ltd, being the primary org.

Case 1: Approver employee is part of only one entity, and has to approve reports of employees of multiple entities he is not pert of
Ryan Gallagher is an employee of only Gamma Ltd. (primary org). But he is an approver of employees from all 3 entities; Gamma Ltd., Gamma Asia and Gamma Europe

Case 2: Approver is a part of multiple entities and has to approve reports from employees belonging to multiple entities

Ryan Gallagher is an employee of Gamma Ltd., Asia and Europe. He is an approver of employees from all these entities.

What happens?
In both cases, the reports of all employees will be visible only under Ryan's primary org account i.e. Gamma Ltd. He will be able to see the reports under Team -> Reports.
