Diagnostic steps to try if the extension is not working on your chrome browser

Fyle's e-mail extensions make it extremely easy to Fyle expenses with a single click. If you face any issue with Fyling expenses using the e-mail extension, you can troubleshoot using a few simple steps. This will clear the issue on most occasions.

Requests to this extension are blocked - Scenario 1

  1. This might be due to conflicting extension

  2. Open a new Tab/Window, and type chrome://extensions

  3. From the Extensions tab, remove Fyle extension

  4. Click here and install the extension again

  5. Go to gmail and reload, verify if the extension works

  1. This might be due to conflicting extension

  2. Open a new Tab/Window, and type chrome://extensions

  3. You will now see a list of all extension that have been added to your browser 

  4. From the Extensions tab, disable all extensions except Fyle extension 

  5. Disable and Enable Fyle extension

  6. Go to gmail and reload, verify if the extension works

  7. If things work fine, then you will need to enable other extensions one by one and see which is conflicting

  8. If you do end up finding a conflicting extension, you will have to disable it to make the Fyle extension work

Requests to this extension are blocked - Scenario 3

  1. This might be due to corporate firewall restrictions on your network.

  2. You will need to switch to a different network, for e.g. mobile hotspot, different wired / wireless network and try using the extension.

   After the recent Google Chrome Update (Chrome 72), you might have encountered     an issue with the Fyle extension. Either it does not work or shows a chrome error.

    Glad there is a way to fix it just in 3 simple steps.

  Steps:

  1. Open the Chrome flags page by typing “chrome://flags/” in the address bar and press “Enter”.

     2. Search for “network-”.

     3. Set “Enable Network Service” to “Disabled”.
         Set “Runs Network Service in-process” to “Enabled” and relaunch the Chrome             browser.

      And you’re done.

  Note: In case the above steps do not work, you can try the following steps:

  1. On your gmail, right click on the page and click on Inspect or Inspect element

  2. A new toolbar will open up, right click on the reload icon on top

  3. Click on Empty Cache and Hard Reload, close the tab/window
